[Recently, it may have come to Barby's attention that her first introduction was...not so much an introduction, as it was whining about her awful Grimer being a royal pain in her behind. She'd been far too busy with her own affairs, however, to actually stop and realize that perhaps she made a mistake.

A rare occurrence, to be sure, but then again the only person who never fails is the one who never does anything.

So once she realized her mistake, she turned on the feed in order to do her introduction proper.]

Ah, hello there, everyone! I do believe that, despite how long I've actually been, I never made a proper introduction, due to dealing with a rather...unruly pile of goo.

[The camera turns to look at her Grimer, which was currently...hugging the stuffing out of a Clefairy doll. Wow.]

As you can see, he's much tamer now, thanks to Honey. You have my thanks yet again, darling; your plan worked like a charm!

...but anyway, I'm getting off track. My name's Barby and it's simply marvelous to meet you all. [Cue a big smile sweet enough to rot your teeth from the inside out.]

Now that my proper introduction is out of the way, I was hoping to ask a question or two. I heard that just North of the Goldenrod City is a National Park, which holds some kind of contest. Could anyone tell me more about it? And, if I do find it interesting, would anyone like to accompany me there? I do dislike traveling alone.

[And with that, she turns off the feed.

Afterwards, Barby can be found walking around the city with a rather large amount of bags on each arm, while her Vespiquen carries a few, and her Swablu carries...one. A very, very light one. That alone might not be very interesting, but the fact that she's carrying two eggs which are making things very difficult to see (in addition to all those bags) certainly seems like a recipe for disaster.]

[Mondo missed her earlier post to the network, but that's not exactly unusual. He forgets to check the 'Gear sometimes in favor of training his Pokémon and exploring the city. Goldenrod is fascinating and there's always so much to do ~~like getting kicked out of the Game Corner for the millionth time~~! He's out exploring again today, a little Riolu keeping pace beside him. His other two are in their Pokéballs for the time being, but he tends to let them run around when he's not idly wandering around.

It takes him a moment to recognize Barby over all those bags and eggs, but when he does he immediately approaches.]

Hey, you need some help with all that...?

[The Pokémon seem a little weighed down (well, maybe not that Swablu). Maybe she'll let him help and count that as that favor he owes her? Probably not, but it's worth a shot, right?]

Gotta say, that hideous pile a slime is quite the fittin' match for you.

Anyway, from what I'we heard, it's just a contest where you catch the strongest an' rarest bug pokebeast, and you get different scores dependin' on the quality a the beast. Sounds fuckin' stupid, especially since they're just bugs. They're about bloody worthless if you ask me.

[Now the intro's out of the way, this young man will just answer her question.]

About the contest, it's a bug catching contest to get the best bug type. You get scored based on their rarity and how strong they are. You get to keep whichever you catch, but the top three usually get one extra prize to go along with their win.

It manages to pique his interest though. Last time he'd been in Goldenrod, he's only passed through to catch a train.]

[Since she was busy on figuring how to navigate her Skarmory to Goldenrod, she didn't really have a chance to see Barby's broadcast. However, she manages to land somewhere near Barby and her pokemon were without disturbing the girl. After making a full stop, Yumi got off Overwing and was looking at the sight of the buildings.]

Well, its nice being here again.

[While Yumi was enjoying the view of the town, Overwing thought it was a good idea to wander off and towards a certain blond girl and her pokemon...]

[ Naegi just got back to Goldenrod City after his daily training session over at Route 35. It's his day off work so he doesn't really have much else to do but to wander around, enjoy the sights and find something to occupy himself with for the rest of the day. He's thinking about maybe going to the restaurant he visited the other day since he really liked their fried rice, but he's all that hungry yet.

When he spots the blonde, her Pokémon and the truckload of bags, his immediate thought is basically "That's probably not going to end well. I should do something." -- which is why he decides to approach. ]

Hey, do you need help? That's a lot of stuff you're carrying.

Ah, sadly I haven't heard too much about further ahead...I'm back in Violet, right now.
